Winter 2021 updates.

We are following the latest information we have for the prevention of Covid-19. Hair salons are asked to operate at 25% capacity. Salon Aloha is safely operating with 4 people or less indoors and we strive to maintain social distancing. We ask that you familiarize yourself with the following:  

Policy Changes

  • If you arrive late to your appointment, in the interest of staying on schedule, we may need to cancel. 

  • If you arrive with visible symptoms or refuse to wear a mask, we will refuse service, and you will incur a fee of 100% of your service total. 


Prior to your appointment, the state requires that we advise you of the following:

  • Client must self-screen for signs or symptoms of COVID-19.

  • Clients must wait in their car and check in via text or phone call. We are not using the indoor waiting area. 

  • Clients should limit personal items in the salon. 

  • Clients may not bring guests to their appointment. One parent or guardian is allowed if necessary.  

  • Clients and stylists must wear a mask at all times. Please check the fit of your mask and consider doubling up if you are higher risk. (Fabric masks are fine, but you run the risk of ruining it with hair color, or hair clippings. Disposable masks are available if you need one). Face Shields are not acceptable. 

  • We practice social distancing, encourage frequent hand washing, and avoid eating and drinking while within 6 feet from others. 


New Appointment Procedures:

  • Before: 48 hours prior to your appointment you will receive confirmation via text or email. Please confirm your appointment and self screen for symptoms. Call us to reschedule if you are not feeling well. 

  • Should you experience symptoms AFTER your visit, please contact us as soon as possible so we can take adequate precautions for ourselves and any other clients that may have been in the salon with you. 

A strict step by step process for cleaning and disinfection has been laid out by the State Board of Cosmetology and Dept. of L&I. The following are the measures to be taken between clients and at the end of the day.


  • At the end of an appointment, all laundry is deposited into the washer. All tools are deposited into a bin to be sanitized at the end of the day. Scissors and blow dryer are sprayed with a hospital grade disinfectant. The chair, shampoo sink, counters, and door handles are appropriately cleaned and disinfected. All commonly touched surfaces are routinely sanitized. 


  • At the end of the day we clean and disinfect our tools, launder towels and capes according to WAC 308-20-110 and begin organizing clean tools for the next days’ use. All surfaces are appropriately cleaned and disinfected.




  • Please expect some changes to pricing due restrictions on our time and the increased cost of operations. Thank you for your understanding.
